Thats why i say the job of checking the content is for mp4box (which handles this perfectly already) and not the gui. Mp4box, which does the muxing, does of course its own checks and will not allow muxing divx3 content or whatever Isn't that a good thing though? And would it also possible for you to cross reference your list and add some of the following 4CC codes too:. Your 4CC detection method uses "lower case" letters (ie: divx, xvid, 3iv2, etc) but not "upper case" letters (ie: DIVX, XVID, 3IV2, etc), which tools such as "Nic's 4CC Changer" generate by default! However, I think I've found out what the problem is. Is the fourcc xvid ? In this latest version i'm reading the fourcc from the avi header, fourcc's allowed are: xvid, divx, 3iv2.
